Landscape design Belmont

Tasmaninan Heritage Homestead

From the moment John and Libby purchased this then run down 1834 Georgian property in 2004, we started working on a master plan to transform the sprawling run down garden.

The goal was to divide the project into a number of “garden rooms”, each area flowing from and working with the next to create a cohesive story. “As we worked with Lisa, we were able to communicate our wants and needs and see them incorporated into the design. And the transformation was amazing,” owners John and Libby said.

Additional project information

Featuring a stunning sheltered sandstone courtyard, pool and private entertaining area, a grand entrance courtyard, private edible gardens, a gorgeous scented rose garden, and meandering pathways.

With stunning heritage trees including an age-old Mulberry tree, we featured scented lavender and iceberg roses to enhance the romance of the seated area under this magnificent tree. They have terraced the front garden which overlooks the beautiful village of Richmond, using borrowed views in the landscape as part of the design plan.

More recently renovated the entrance garden adding new hedges lining the drive, espaliered fruit trees, a vegetable and herb garden in the sheltered NE facing corner of the home nestling close to the Elm tree. The property is the home of Pooley Wines, the family use it for weddings, private functions, as an entertaining venue and now have many stunning areas to create beautiful treasured memories for generations to come.
